Head of Policy and Programme Support Division

Elisa is the Head of Policy and Programme Support Division at the IOM’s Regional Office in Brussels.

Elisa has extensive knowledge of migration issues resulting from over twenty years’ experience with IOM spanning three continents in thematic areas including counter-trafficking, border management, voluntary returns, migrants’ integration, research and communications.

Prior to joining the Regional Office in Brussels in 2018, Elisa served as Deputy Chief of Staff at IOM Headquarters in Geneva. She also served as Chief of Mission in Malaysia, Montenegro and Albania, and in various capacities in IOM offices in Africa, Asia and Europe.

Elisa holds a Master's Degree in Politics and Government of Western Europe from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Athens.
