Guidelines: Piloting mentorship schemes

These guidelines support actors to set up mentorship schemes for resettled refugees, in order to help them to get integrated into their country of resettlement. The guidelines provide an overview of the key steps for establishing a mentorship scheme, including a set of questionnaires for monitoring purposes.

By applying a community-based approach, the guidelines promote the active membership and engagement of communities and broader society contributing to the inclusion and integration of newcomers.

The guidelines were developed by IOM under the project COMMIT - Facilitating the integration of resettled refugees in Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Spain. Funded by the European Union, COMMIT seeks to foster the sustainable integration of resettled refugees in their new communities, with a specific focus on women and youth.
