17 June 2013 - IOM’s governing body has re-elected Director General William Lacy Swing to a second five-year term and admitted two new member states – Malawi and Suriname. Ambassador Swing’s re-election to the post that he has held since October 2008 was unopposed at the 102nd (Special) Session of the IOM Council in Geneva and he was elected by acclamation.
