IOM Recommendations on Future EU Home Affairs Policies
January 2014 - IOM's discussion paper, “The future of Home Affairs Policies” sets out IOM’s view of the priorities that should be considered in the future strategic guidelines that will drive EU action in Justice and Home Affairs from 2015. In the paper, IOM outlines its position on: a) enhanced migration governance for growth; b) a Europe that protects migrants; and c) a reinforced external dimension through enhanced cooperation. The paper was submitted in response to DG Home’s consultation on the priorities for the post-Stockholm Programme initiative.
